Concert des Humbuddies – samedi 30 mai (au Clubhouse). Barbecue (à partir de 17 h 30)

Join us for The Humbuddies in concert 🎶, an evening of live music at the Clubhouse (30 Chemin Christopher) that brings neighbours and friends together. In brother harmony style, this father and son duo (Bill from Nanaimo and Nico from Brooklin, NY) will carry you along through the evolution of North American acoustic music, from early country, through bluegrass and swing to contemporary folk. They’ll have you tapping your toes, wiping your tears and singing along.

Prior to the concert, there will be a BBQ at the Clubhouse (burgers, hotdogs, beverages, beer, wine, snacks from the canteen, all for cash or Tap sales)

Tickets:  $20 for members; $25 for non-members; $10 for 11 – 18; and 10 and under are free.

CANADA DAY BOAT PARADE (free participation), Wednesday July 1st @ 19:00

A few days prior to the parade:

  • A few days before the parade, we will be sharing a map of the lake, showing the gathering point.  The map will be shared on the Facebook group « Gens du lac Bernard / Lake Bernard Folks » and as part of an email distributed on the Lac Bernard Listserv.

  • The participants are encouraged to decorate their boat (for example, with flags and numerous lights) to display the Canada Day spirit.  An official panel of judges will evaluate and determine the winning vessel for the Best Decorated Boat award.

On the day of the parade:

  • The participating boats will all meet at 19:00 at the Rendez-Vous Point shown on the map and anchor down until the lead boat departs (at 19:30).
  • Participating boats will follow the lead boat (about 15 metres apart) and parade at slow speed in single file along the shore of the lake.  The parade will stay a minimum of 15 meters from shore (and 15 meters from obstacles in the water).  The parade will be going along the shores until the boats return to the starting point, where the parade will end.
  • Have fun!  Wave at the folks watching on shore and on the docks, by blowing the horn and/or playing music on loud speakers!
  • The parade will end around 21:00, with sufficient twilight allowing for the safe return of boats to their proper dock.
  • In compliance with provincial regulations, the captain of the boat must not consume alcohol or be under the effect of alcohol (or other substance) while in the care of the vessel and its occupants.
  • Boat owners will feel free to depart from the parade when they feel that the amount of light remaining is insufficient.
  • Please note that at all times, the captain of each boat is entirely responsible for the safety of their boat and occupants.

    (POSTPONED DUE TO FLOODING IN OTTAWA, NEW DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON) @ 11:00 to 13:00, CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Rescuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training, at the Clubhouse.

    This training provides the skills and confidence to act during emergencies at home, work or in public.  The participants will practice their new skills on anthropomorphic dummies.  Register early because the spaces are limited.

    Registration fee:  $90

    Rejoignez Katie Power pour un voyage musical à la découverte de certains de vos classiques préférés et des chansons originales réconfortantes de Katie. Au programme : une ambiance positive et une bonne compagnie!

    Katie Power est une auteure-compositrice-interprète de St. John’s dont la musique allie l’authenticité de la soul, la chaleur du reggae et l’énergie de la pop contemporaine, avec le groove au cœur de chaque chanson. Ses compositions dégagent une authenticité et une énergie brutes, trouvant un équilibre entre vulnérabilité et force tout en émouvant les auditeurs à chaque battement.

     

    Forte de plus de vingt ans de pratique artistique, le parcours musical de Katie a été façonné par le chant dès son plus jeune âge, l’apprentissage autodidacte de la guitare, puis son émergence en tant qu’auteure-compositrice-interprète et animatrice musicale communautaire au service de milliers de personnes. En 2015, elle a élargi son horizon au studio et à la scène, se produisant en direct dans des contextes allant des rassemblements intimes aux grandes scènes. Le public ne peut s’empêcher d’être captivé, attiré et ému par l’énergie sincère qu’elle insuffle à chaque prestation. Elle a fait des apparitions à Rogers TV et dans l’émission « Meetings with Remarkable People » de NTV, s’est produite aux côtés d’autres talents locaux et a participé à des sorties afro-pop pendant la pandémie.

     

    Son premier album, *Believe*, est sorti en 2018; elle a effectué une tournée provinciale et l’album continue d’être écouté en streaming à l’échelle nationale. Elle a lancé le simple *Tired* en 2025 et travaille actuellement avec Hurricane Music sur son album de onze titres, *Lost in the Mix*, un projet dynamique qui la prépare à faire connaître sa musique sur la scène internationale.

     

    Première partie : The Depth, avec Finn Kennedy et Elliot Lockhart

     

    Finn Kennedy (originaire de Turtle Bay, à Lac Bernard) et Elliot Lockhart (originaire de Mitchell’s Bay, à Lac Bernard) jouent ensemble depuis qu’ils étaient en 5e et 6e année à l’école primaire Wakefield, lorsqu’un jour, ils se sont inscrits au concours de talents de l’école. Au cours des trois dernières années, ils se sont produits à Rupert, au Black Sheep Inn et au Bluesfest d’Ottawa.

    Au cours de cet atelier avec Katie, vous vivrez une expérience de revitalisation liée à l’amour de soi, qui renforcera cette ressource intérieure et votre connexion à l’amour de soi. Nous pouvons parfois nous sentir accablés par toutes nos responsabilités, nos peurs et les énergies négatives. Celles-ci peuvent s’accumuler et nous empêcher de voir ce qui est le plus important : notre propre ressource intérieure et notre relation à l’amour et à nous-mêmes.

     

    Au programme :

     

    • une séquence douce de yoga pour commencer la journée (15 à 20 minutes) visant à activer le corps
    • la partie « atelier de bien-être », une exploration en profondeur de vos schémas anciens et la prise de conscience de ce qui doit réellement être réactivé
    • un exercice puissant de libération des vieilles charges émotionnelles
    • une activation et une revitalisation énergétique qui vous ramèneront à cette vibration d’amour la plus élevée et à cette relation la plus importante : celle que vous entretenez avec vous-même.

    LRH is a five piece independent rock band based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  The five-piece indie rock outfit made up of Paul Brogee (co-lead vocals, guitars, violin- ) and Mike Brogee (bass, vocals) have a family cottage on Lac Bernard.  The band’s hard work over the past few years has paid off with cross-Canadian headline tours, shows in the US, and support slots with The Glorious Sons, Matt Mays, and Arkells.         Annual General Meeting

        PARADE DE BATEAUX - Lundi 30 juin, 19 h (date de pluie - mardi) Gratuit. Prix à gagner !

        Le défilé :

        • En tout temps, le capitaine du bateau est entièrement responsable de la sécurité de son bateau et de ses occupants.
        • Comme prévu, les bateaux participants se regrouperont tous à 19 h à un endroit prédéterminé sur le lac et mouilleront jusqu’au départ du bateau de tête (à 19 h 30). Par la suite, en gardant 15 mètres entre eux, les bateaux participants suivront le bateau de tête et défileront à vitesse lente, en file indienne, le long du rivage du lac, à une distance minimale de 15 mètres du rivage (et 15 mètres des obstacles dans l’eau). Le défilé se poursuivra le long des rives jusqu’à ce que les bateaux reviennent au point de départ, où le défilé se terminera.
        • Conformément à la réglementation provinciale, le capitaine de l’embarcation ne doit pas consommer d’alcool ni être sous l’effet de l’alcool (ou autre substance) pendant qu’il est responsable de l’embarcation et de ses occupants.
        • Les propriétaires de chaque bateau participant sont encouragés à décorer leur bateau (par exemple, avec des drapeaux et de nombreuses lumières), à klaxonner et/ou à diffuser de la musique sur des haut-parleurs.
        • Le défilé commencera à 19 h 30 et se terminera vers 21 h, avec suffisamment de lumière du jour pour permettre le retour en toute sécurité des bateaux à leur quai.
        • Les propriétaires de bateaux sont libres de quitter le défilé lorsqu’ils estiment qu’il ne fait plus assez jour pour continuer le défilé.
